I write in support of Yara Hanlin Zokaie for Colorado House District 49.

As both an educator and small business owner, I believe that Yara will represent my interests in the Colorado legislature, and I urge you to vote for her on Nov. 3.

As a former high school science teacher, I know firsthand the importance of education in our children’s lives, and I understand the hardship that our schools are facing due to the coronavirus pandemic.

I know that Yara, who is a young mother of two boys, cares deeply about the future of

the children in our state.

As the co-owner of a preschool, I know that Yara will also be the best advocate for the issues I currently face as a small business owner. I’m worried about what will happen to the small businesses in Northern Colorado as we continue to see the fallout from the economic conditions caused by the coronavirus, and our federal government has done little to mitigate the damage.

Yara speaks to the worries that small business owners like myself have in this current climate. Her background as a tax attorney representing small businesses shows me that she has the requisite knowledge to help us rebuild.

I hope that Larimer County residents, regardless of political affiliation, will join me in support of Yara Hanlin Zokaie for Colorado House District 49 on Nov. 3.
