SUNY Geneseo to join all other SUNY schools, switch to online learning after Thanksgiving break

GENESEO — The State University of New York at Geneseo is planning to move all courses online later this semester, joining the ranks of every other SUNY school.

All other SUNY campuses had already decided to go online after Thanksgiving, said SUNY spokeswoman Holly Liapis. Geneseo had not made a final decision until Friday.

In an email to students and staff, Geneseo President Denise Battles said all classes would be delivered online following the Thanksgiving break, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Residence halls will still be available to the students who need to stay on campus after the Thanksgiving recess and through the winter break between semesters, she said.
