SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) — The University of Rhode Island has scheduled three live online panel discussions to address the challenges health care workers face and the lessons being learned during the coronavirus pandemic, according to a statement from the school.
URI faculty, alumni and community leaders will share their personal experiences and discuss how interprofessional teams can have a lasting effect on individual and community health during the crisis.
The discussions are being hosted by the university’s Academic Health Collaborative and Interprofessional Education and Practice Initiative.
The first discussion, “From the Front Lines: The Experience of Treating Those with COVID,” is scheduled for Wednesday and features alumni working in health care sharing their experiences battling the coronavirus.
The second, scheduled for Oct. 7, will look at how the virus has affected older people, while the third, scheduled for Oct. 14, will look at how the virus has exacerbated health
