Locations : Chingle Hall - Not for sale! But Chingle is though.

Posted by Tim on 30/05/2010 (566 reads) News by the same author

Recently a rumour hit some of the social networking websites that Chingle Hall was for sale which seemed rather odd considering we were once practically residents there and recall the owner who shall remain unnamed (in this article) stating categorically that he wouldn't sell his beloved home, he'd spent many years researching Chingle's history with some fascinating facts found along the way.

Well it turns out the rumour was false, the Chingle Hall we know and love will continue to remain in the current owners hands according to a credible sources.

However if you have a spare £1.5 Million then you could be living adjacent to Chingle Hall in what's known as "Chingle St John". From the end of Chingle Road you can see the for sales sign which I would assume someone has passed and possibly mistaken for the real Chingle Hall.

For all those budding paranormal investigators out there, it also seems very unlikely the hall will open again at any time in near future.

Chingle History from the WikiPedia:

Quote:

Chingle Hall dates from around 1260. It is located in the parish of Whittingham near Preston, England. It was owned by the Singleton family till the line ran out in 1585. The second family to occupy the house were the Wall family. Anthony Wall, once mayor of Preston, died there in 1601. The Walls owned the Hall until the mid 1700's.

There are a ton of places with no middleman, in fact only really a handful have offered exclusivity to some commercial organisations.

The best way to find out is find a location which interests you and contact them directly.

It is a really nice place, but sadly it won't be open again or at least not any time soon. :-(
