Can anyone give some ideas about a modern set up for itc comms in the 21st century please?

Kilmurray - using logic is an acceptable route to explaining the paranormal however logic cannot explain everything. You seem to think it can.

However using logic ill use a quote from you " 9 times out of ten" and then the rest of the quote. Consider this ; that means that 1 time out of 10 logic CANNOT explain what is going on.

2 schools of obvious thought on this one is yes and the other is no. There is , of course , a third school and that school says possibly and maybe even probably.

The School of "no" includes such cynics as Dawkins. I say cynic even though he says he is sceptical because his reasoning and thinking does not allow for any possiblity of ANY extrenous perceptions and consequently he presents himself as immutable orthodoxy - i consider this unacceptable as the man is a good scientist although his knowledge of social science and philosphy needs much help and expansion in my opinion. There are many others that are as cynical - Randi , Loran , Blackmore , Thalbourne et al.

The school of "yes" is manifold and includes such people as Acorah , Kinder , Baigent and a host of other "new age / alternative " thinkers and authors. The problem with this school of thinking is that proof is easy to come by for them and it is regarded as de facto in that it has happened to them and cant be explained and thus doesnt need explaining. Science does not like this approach but not many of the "yes" school acceed that science needs to be able to test and quantify in order to assess and say such things are possible.

The 3rd school of "maybe" and amongst other has O Keefe , Wiseman and , most importantly , Beloff as proponents. Some considerable research has been done by several universities and the conclusions are basically scetchy but there are some interesting statistical anomalies present that indicate a possibility that some people may be able access possibly latent extra sensory skill and perceptions. Beloff in particular is important as he formulated the Dualism theory.

Overall though its done to personal belief as to whether it is thought to be possible or not - the jury is undecided.

The good old satanic worshippers in Harlow / Essex was pretty much laughed out of court as the ramblings of the infamous Satanic ritual Abuse scares of thelate 80s however i DO know several local bands filmed videos and several of the Live Role Players in the area often used the woods and other places to play their games so i suspect that the 1996 event was a panicked mother not realising what was going on.

I tend to agree that TAPS is the best generally as tv shows go but then they still need to do a bit better to convince me that they are seeing some of the things they are. However at least they show a more rigourous methodolgy and near nuetral analysis of data for "the reveal" which is good in itself.

Scott maybe try the pagan network channels ? Try to google for them and im sure someone maybe able to offer more constructive advice.

As a side note mate i also lost someone very very close to me when i was younger and no ammount of "magic" helped however i did eventually meet someone whom im very happy with at the moment and hopefully she is with me for some time to come. Maybe this could happen to you as well ; hard as it seems now.

yes mate - i find most of them interesting as a set of group dynamics and how far they can push the general poor investigation techniques to the public and have them believe they are real ghosts. THat said TAPS is probably the best of a bad bunch.

Meurig i think it very much depends on how or what you want to do with the ouija board and whewther you feel you would be contacting spirts et al.

on the presumption you beleive you are going to use it to contact spirits id suggest a quiet room ; cleansed with an incense burner of frankienscense or similar then lords prayer for protection. I dont think you have to face any specific direction for a ouija board to work. Place a finger on an upturned glass. THen ask , clearly for any spirits that are with you to spell their name. After that try for surname. Then ask some general questions about them. Try to record all words or letters spelt by the glass.

Personally i still think its subconcious micro movement of muscles moving glasses around as has been shown by various scientists etc but i could well be very wrong.

Ok a quick break down of the ouija.

Ouija is made of 2 words both meaning yes. Oui in French and Ja in German.

The board itself is supposedly a simple way of communicating with spirits ; the premise being that a spirit uses a person as a conduit to move a glass or pointer around a set of letters spelling words to form sentences in response to questions asked.

It has been shown by several psychologists , parapsychologists and magicians that the effect can be replicated fairly easily and this type of communication is not spiritual but physical and is known as Ideomotor response.

Many scientists agree with this although more spiritually inclined believers suggest they are channelling spirits.

Yeah sounds to me like theyve ripped off the local knowledge and transposed it. I have heard that is what happened with The Goldne Fleece investigation at York as well ; the team literally transposed stories from The Black Swan just half a mile up the road and went with half of them as well! lol.

Hi Terze always good to read , with sources from relevant scripture , any alternative to conventional Judeo Christian scriptural spiritual reference and especially pertaining to Islam as im not really a huge expert on the faith.

With regards to Djinn or Jinn the more negative aspects of such beings does tally with several other cultures as well and especially to the copying of humans in action tainted with the phenomenon of objects moving , immolation , asports and apports and so on.

Id be interested in any other Surahs pertaining to Jinn that you can think of to read and refenerence for my own collection of scriptural refrences.
