hi, there are a lot of small 'not for profit' groups around. maybe not in the london area, but certainly more rural areas. We have one here in wales that i help to run (unexplainedwales.com), and the general consensus of our group is that we will never charge for investigations, and would keep at arms length any groups who do. just keep looking they are out there.

Okay I will add to the thread I ended up getting a job at the Acci in the admin block, and spooky stories at the hospital were quite common, One day I was chatting to Pete the hospital administrator, and he told me a of someting that had happened a year or so before. The BBC wanted to use the hospital for a cops and robbers series (called City Blue I think it was called) they wanted to film at the back of the hosp by the canal, which had quite a good view of the birmingham skyline. anyway the production crew went about their business. this area was by an old derilict building that was part of the old Queens hospital at the turn of the century. it was called Detatched for obvious reasons, and used to be the doctors quarters. now it was used as a store area, but only on the ground floor as the upper floors were rotting and out of bound for health and safety reasons. All seemed to go well with the filming, and afterwards the production manager came to Pete to thank him for being allowed to use the area. he said it went well, except for the fact that while they were filming, they had to stop a few times as an elderly woman was getting in shot from an upstairs window of detached. Pete said that it was impossible as the stairs were cordoned off and the area was out of bounds. The hospital Matron had the responsibility of looking after and feeding the doctors who were in residence in the building all those years ago.

Yeah bryan, they did. although some of the 'facts' didnt quite fit in with the facts that the locals know. they investigated room 7, but anybody in the know, knows it is room 8 that is most active. also they investigated the cellar bar area, but were in a different corridor to us, even though they were 'supposedly' picking up the same things as us. definate question marks on pre-prepared knowledge. oh well, it was worth watching though.

just noticed that you and lost spirit (who started the thread) have the same avatar, got confused. never heard of the collective consciousness? that all energy (which can never be destroyed, only changed) encompasses all life forms.

another point is, how can you make a statement saying that proof is all, when you state that you lived in the 1800's. where is the proof for that?

Thanks bryan, the site is still new'ish and we are still tweaking it here and there, but its coming on quite nicely. Yeah, Gregynog is one of the hidden beauty's of wales (lots of locals don't even know its there) the inside is pretty amazing too, and quite a large area to investigate (there are over 40 guest rooms alone never mind the conference rooms and the communal areas) we would like to get back in there at some stage, there were lots of areas that we thought were worthy of investigation, but after 5 hours we just ran out of time. lets see what cobblers the Most Haunted team make of it on tonights show LOL.

Hi lost spirit, I had a go at past life regression a few years back, and was amazed at the info that was 'coming' through. many of the things that happened in the four past lives i saw, had some relation to my present life. obviously it could be said that this life was affecting the way i was seeing the past lives, but there were small thing that made sense when i looked at the transcription of the regression (explaining why i have a total fear of bears (real ones not teddies lol - you dont get many around these parts). One life had me standing on deck of a ship, and i could really feel the salt spray on my face. I think it helped that i had meditated before the session, so i was already in a calm mood. I would suggest to anyone to have a go at this, you never know.

Hi all, I was part of an investigation group that went into Gregynog (The first and only). I had worked there for 5 years a while before, and had a few personal experiences and heard tales, so I pushed for us to get in there. it was agreed after a meeting with the general manager, and the night was pretty eventful. Myself and three others split from this group a few months later and formed our own group. Sorry I dont know if I can mention our group website or if it is classed as advertising (we are a totally non profit group, and my report is on our site because the four of us that were ousted from the original group made up the second team on the investigation. anyway about three months after we went in, we heard that Most Haunted were going to do a show there. I personally contacted Antix (MH's production company in chester) to see if I could be of any help in pointing them to interesting areas (gregynog is huge) I was told in no uncertain terms that they would do their own thing while there. fair enough i thought. it has been announced that the airing of the gregynog episode will be next wednesday 7/6/10 it will be interesting to see if there are correlations between my report and the MH findings.

Hi all, I came across this site purely by chance, and am already getting good vibes about it. In the mid 80's I had a nasty industrial accident, which meant that i was whisked off pretty sharpish to the Birmingham Accident Hospital, in Bath Row on the edge of town. Anyway, while i was there I had many ghostly encounters, and things of a spooky nature. I thought that I would let you in on a few of these experiences, hope i dont ramble on too much. Because of my injury (I had my right arm torn off, and then rejoined) I spent a lot of time in the hospital, in fact it became my second home. anyway, I used to do lectures with my consultant about my 'replantation' we did lectures all over the country. but this time we had to do a lecture at the local priory hospital, about ten minutes down the road from the 'ACCI' The consultant (keith)asked me to meet him in casualty after he had done his clinics, then he would drive us the short distance to the priory. As I waited in the long casualty room, seated on the aisle edge (all alone as the staff were doing their changover for the evening shift, and the usual incoming of waifs strays and drunks had not yet started) I saw coming through the rubber flap door at the end, Keiths father (I had met him about 10 months before when keith had introduced me to him during one of my many ops. Kieth was showing him around 'his' hospital, as he had just been made consultant) his dad was a GP and a very imposing looking man. i remember he was wearing a tan rain coat, belted tightly at the waist. his father walked briskly towards me, and was going to pass by me a couple of feet way. I nodded to him but he just looked straight ahead and carried on walking to the exit door (obviously he didnt rcognise me, why should he, I was'nt wearing pyjamas). Just then Keith came through the same flap doors, mouthed 'are you ready' and we left the building. at the Priory we found that the lecture had been cancelled, and keith had not got the message. A little annoyed, he apologised to me and said he would drive me home. As we were heading out of Birmingham town centre, and down the Aston Expressway, I casually asked him how come his father had called by to see him. there seemed a slight swerve of the car and keith looked at me and asked me to repeat what i had said. I said i had seen him just before keith came through into casualty. keith said that his father had died about 6 months before, and today was his birthday! we were both deep in thought for the rest of the journey i must admit.
